Speed Baccarat Explained: Same Rules, Shorter Window
Speed baccarat is live baccarat with the same Player, Banker and Tie hand rules as a standard table, but with a shorter betting window before each deal so more hands are dealt per hour. The countdown in seconds is shown on that table's display and can differ from one table to another. This guide covers what stays the same, what changes with pace, and how to read the table panel—without claiming that a faster table makes results more or less likely.
Same rules as standard baccarat
The core game is unchanged. As in baccarat rules for beginners:
- Player and Banker hands aim for a total closest to 9.
- Card values follow the usual baccarat scale (Ace = 1, 2–9 face value, 10 and face cards = 0).
- Third-card drawing follows the fixed Player and Banker tableaux.
- Tie wins when both hands finish on the same total.
Side bets such as pairs, where a table offers them, settle on their own paytable. Those options are covered in baccarat side bets explained.
What “speed” changes
| Standard live baccarat | Speed baccarat | |
|---|---|---|
| Hand rules | Player / Banker / Tie as usual | Same |
| Betting window | Longer countdown before cards are dealt | Shorter countdown (seconds as shown on that table) |
| Hands per hour | Fewer | More, because less idle time between deals |
| Result odds of a hand | Set by the cards and rules | Same rules; pace does not change how a hand is scored |
A shorter window only affects how long you have to place or change chips. It does not change the drawing rules or the meaning of Player, Banker or Tie.
How to use a speed table
- Open the table panel and note the countdown length shown for that table.
- Place main bets (and any side bets you want) before the window closes.
- Watch the deal — cards are drawn under the same tableaux as a standard table.
- Read the road display if you use it; roads summarise past results and do not change the next hand's rules.
If the window closes before you confirm, that round's bets are not accepted. Limits, commission on Banker, and which side bets appear: use the panel on that table.

FAQ
What is speed baccarat?
Speed baccarat is live baccarat with the same Player, Banker and Tie hand rules as a standard table, but a shorter betting countdown between deals, so more hands are dealt per hour. The countdown in seconds is shown on that table's display and can differ from one table to another.
Are the card rules different from normal baccarat?
No, the card rules are not different from normal baccarat. Player, Banker, Tie and the third-card tableaux work the same way, and card values follow the usual scale: Ace = 1, 2–9 face value, 10 and face cards = 0. Only the betting window is shorter.
How many seconds do I have to bet?
How many seconds you have to bet depends on the table. Use the countdown shown on that table's display or panel, because it can differ from one table to another. If the window closes before you confirm, that round's bets are not accepted, so place your chips before it ends.
Does a faster table change the chance of winning a hand?
No, a faster table does not change the chance of winning a hand. The scoring rules are the same; pace only shortens the time you have to place bets and does not rewrite how hands are decided. Roads summarise past results and do not change the next hand's rules either.
Does Go2win offer speed baccarat tables?
Whether Go2win offers speed baccarat tables is not stated in this guide. Go2win's live casino includes baccarat tables from its live providers. For whether speed tables are listed and how each one is timed, log in at go2win.bet, then check with live chat: what live chat confirms is what applies.
